However, her new found love, friends and colleagues prove fallible. Susan soon discovers that the result of making mistakes at this new level of life are far reaching and can be extremely dangerous and damaging.
The innocent struggle of a young, budding college student suddenly unfolds into a struggle for life in an extremely hostile social and political world that abhors change and regularly embraces fear and persecution.
As Susan wrestles with her new found knowledge, power, wealth and life, she is forced to fight to defend her right to grow as she sees fit.

My experience with Drunvalo Melchizedek started as a reading suggestion from a dear friend. The first two books were The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; Vol. 1 & 2. Needless to say, the amount of information was overwhelming and extremely radical compared to average modern teachings. Initially, it was a challenge to accept his teachings and perspectives open heartedly, but the more personal research I did on his subjects, the more I found Mr. Melchizedek to be accurate and even revolutionary. Large shifts in my understanding early on stemmed from many of the most recent discoveries in quantum physics. The Serpent of Light continues the lifelong journey that Drunvalo has been engaged in for the good of all creation. Curiously, I had a brief bout of resistance to his recountings of miraculous ceremonies and occurences in the form of doubt. As before with his books and information, the more I studied the writing and the information, the easier it became to digest and believe whole-heartedly. It's been my personal experience with the sharing Drunvalo engages that the longer it's studied and considered the deeper the layers and understanding will go. The Serpent of Life should definitely not be your first Drunvalo Melchizedek read (start with The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; Vol. 1 & 2 first), but it most certainly shouldn't be you last either. Life is abundant and beautiful. The Serpent of Life simply reminds how incredibly true this is. Read and enjoy! I did!
As a fan of KISS, I was sincerely looking forward to reading a book on entrepreneurship by the immortal Gene Simmons. Something most of the world has forgotten is that no one had ever done what KISS did right out of the gate and continue to do in the world of business. It made perfect sense for an instructional manual to manifest from the genius behind the painted faces. Unfortunately, Me, Inc. did not live up to my expectations, which normally could be forgiven considering the mountain of quantifiable results Mr. Simmons has accomplished. Initially, I hoped that my disappointment could be blamed on the fact that my copy was an unedited edition that would only require some minor adjustments. What I found were deep rooted challenges concerning his beliefs and perspectives in so many arenas that finishing the book became a burden. While I sincerely appreciate Me, Inc.'s brutal frankness and honesty concerning the state of the business world currently, it was, for Mr. Simmons, uncharacteristically uninspiring and visionless concerning how the business world could be if people truly understood the power an entrepreneur wields during the internet and technology revolutions. Mr. Simmons' attempt at a guide-book for the blossoming business-person fell terribly short. Some of the information is sound in practice, but came across as cliche and even hypocritical at times making absorption and application nearly impossible due to the burdensome distraction of unoriginal advice and the overbearing use of the pronoun, "I." I (burdensome pronoun alert) will remain a staunch fan of KISS and Gene Simmons, however, Me, Inc. will need some rethinking before expecting to really be helpful. If anyone can correct this misstep, it's Mr. Simmons. It will be exciting to see his next creation unfold.
Haven't read this in a while. It's still a great read. There are so many nuances and strategies that can be applied to all aspects of life, not just war, that can make your actions and decisions mutually beneficial for yourself and everyone involved. :)
Emotional Intelligence 2.0 is a thoroughly researched and extensively explained discovery, unveiling and application of the vital skills of human self-awareness and discernment. The supporting theories, findings, suggestions and techniques are sound and invaluable for the human experience. This book is a critical step in the right direction for people everywhere in the world.
Great book for all ages! It contains basic concepts that we all forget and need to be reminded. Must read!
A little disappointed on how the storyline played out. The back and forth perspective of both Tris and Four has been done by Twilight and other recently popular series - nothing new and striking. Overall theme is very much like The Hunger Games, Resident Evil and several other books. The plot could have really developed more interesting, but for a first time writer, Veronica Roth did very well. I understand that this was written more for YA readers, but there were some aspects of human life, that for even teenagers would have been different knowing they are fighting for their lives daily and at any moment they could die. I look forward to see what the movies for Insurgent and Allegiant turn out. I did prefer the development of certain parts for the movie Divergent than what was in the book. :)

Good extension from the first book Divergent, but a little slow and could have been written a little better - differently to keep the storyline moving while still intriguing. Curious to see what they do with the movie.
